To make the Cadet365 experience as easy as possible, find answers to frequently asked questions below:

Cyber Awareness Training Course

All cadets are required to complete the Cyber Awareness Course located in Cadet365. The link below is only accessible on the Cadet365 Sharepoint once initial onboarding has been completed.

Cadet365 Onboarding Guide

Use the following guides to assist in onboarding onto your Cadet365 account for the first time using the credentials provided to you by the Administration Officer. 

Military

What is Cadet365

For privacy, security and youth-protection reasons, Cadet365 communication with cadets is limited to cadets and authorized, screened adult staff.

​

Parents and guardians do not have access to Cadet365 or cadet Teams channels. Parents should use the 2051 website and newsletter for general information, important dates and upcoming activities.

​

Cadets are responsible for checking Cadet365 regularly and discussing upcoming activities and commitments with their parent or guardian.

Using Cadet365

Once your Cadet365 is setup, there are three tools you'll regularly use:

​

  • Outlook: Your official cadet email, including calendar invites

  • Teams: Announcements, communication and activities

  • SharePoint: Resources and files

​

Cadet365 Onboarding

Once you have joined the unit you will be given a cadet.gc.ca email with a new temporary password for set up. If you have any issues during registration please let the administration officer know.

Below are high-level onboarding steps:

​

  1. Cadet accounts are created within 30 days of enrollment.
    ​

  2. Cadets shall obtain their username and temporary password from the administration officer.
     

  3. Cadets shall login to Cadet365 via www.office.com

    • Make sure to complete all the onboarding step​
       

  4. Update your password
     

  5. Complete the Cyber Awareness Training Course
     

  6. Download & launch Microsoft Teams
     

  7. Find and 'Pin Your Chat' (your assigned Troop)

    • Locate your troop chat > Click the 3 dots [...] > Pin​
